Hair Fair 2014

Hair fair 2014 was HUGE this year! It had a total of 4 sims with all of the top hair designers on sl. I will warn you this post is a photo over load. I sat over at PoD and took photos of all the free and bought hair that I snagged from hair fair. It took me fours hours to grab the demos and freebies and then another few hours to try the demos and sift through all the free and dollarbie stuff. Most 'free' things were 1L with all of the proceeds going to Wigs for Kids I got everything that was free or cheap. That meant that I had to shuffle through it and find the things I would actually wear which was a task. Most hair that I bought was between 200L to 300L with about 10% to 15% of each going to Wigs for kids. It was a lot of fun you can find the official event blog here.

So I didn't edit these photos they are raw from sl one being that I didn't want to edit ALL of them and two I wanted you to see what they actually look like. They were taken on mid graphics at midday. I am also wearing the same outfit from my Dark Storm post. 

Asteria in Plumify by Adoness, free gift 

National Anthem in Medley with violet streaks and black band by Alice Project. If you do not know anything on alice project hair you need to check it out. Each hair is able to be customized via the Hud so that you are not just getting the color you want but a look just for you. This is my first Alice project hair but will not be my last the best part is that it was free.   

Pop Scotch by Analog Dog in light blondes. AD is one of my FAVORITE hair stores on the grid. They were the first hair that I bought and I have been in love with them for over 4 years now. I already owned this hair and used it as one of my main hairs for a good part of my sl life. I snagged the FREE fatpack at hair fair. 

Cowboy hat by Argrace in blue it came with red and orange versions and was free. The hair I am wearing is further down the list. 

27 by Eaters Coma in light silver, this was not from hair fair.. although Eaters coma was it prompted me to check out the store and I found this one and had to have it. 

After the Rain by Exile in blonde was a free gift and comes with brown, red and black. I love it but it does cut into the Lolas a bit. 

Tricia by +elua+ in light blondes, I like this hair but this is as light as I could find and not sure how much I will wear it as I like my hair white. 

Blow Away by Exile in white from the naturals pack. I bought nearly all of the Exile hair from hair fair, it was stunning and boobie friendly!

Well then that was awkward.

As of Sept 2018 the wishlist now charges L$80/31 days. If my wishlist is inactive that just means I have forgot to pay it >_<

*Coughs and clears her throat a few times* Yeah.. sorry about that, I seemed to have violated some weird loophole in the system of the last blog host I was on. After several emails and a few days they shut my blog down and I looked else where. The funny part is, is that I was doing nothing different than every other fashion or sl blogger out there that uses them. *Shrugs and throws her arms in the air* Nothing I can do but shift over to the google platform, which to me is sad as I am a microsoft fan but we are moving forward with the blog.. just make sure you update your links... marzmuzings.blogspot.com

Now then.. we will start small and work our way back up. Speaking of up I added a few more links up top there. The first being my sl wishlist. Why the hell this is not more popular is beyond me. Daddy showed it to me and was like hey you might want to do this. So I checked it out and was stunned, it was exactly what I was looking for. I'm from the xstreet era of sl shopping that was the 'oldschool' version of what Marketplace is today. If you have been around sl you know what I am talking about and you miss it, I know you do I do. The biggest missed feature as a shopper was the 'wish list' feature. It was simply an added button on all products where you could add it to a 'wish list' this list could be shared and seen by others. When Mp took over they threw that idea out and just left it to favorites. I have since been using the favorites list as a mock wish list or a 'need to buy when I have L' list, the only problem being I can't share it with others.

Then Daddy showed me http://slwishlist.com and I nearly had a heart attack. It is super easy to set up and use. First go to here click on the 'create an account' text on the sign and then make sure to COPY your password that they give you. You can not log in unless you have that. Then go to the website and log in using your avatar name and the password that they gave you in world. Tada you now have an account! Easy as that now what is easier is putting things into your wishlist. After you log in you will be prompted to the 'add to your wishlist' page. Open up another tab and go to mp open an item you want and copy the url then click back to the wishlist page and hit ctrl and v. BAM added, I added over 200 items in less than an hour.

If you are a shopaholic like me then you will want to take advantage of the 'groups' feature. You basically can make up to 7 groups to put your wished items into. For example, I have shoes, clothing, and huds to name a few that make it easier for people to sift through my 260 items. Another neat feature is that there is a way for others to mark that they bought an item for you. I am just in love with the whole idea and it is super easy to manage and use. The only issue is that it is for Mp items only it does not work on in world items.

I added my wishlist to my bar up top just so you can see how I set mine up. I also added my flickr and my facebook, ASN and Deviant Art pages so you can find me on those. The last tab is a look only version of my wardrobe. I will do a very very big drawn out post about the wardrobe once I have it set up though I am far from it. There is still a lot of work to be done on it on my end but I wanted to add a link here as I have been telling people about it and showing them the link. I highly recommend you buy it, it is cheap for what it does for you. I think I'd die with out mine and it is not even finished! Link to the Mp listing

Lets Talk About...

Our inventories, you thought I was going to say sex didn't you. Shakes her head and laughs, you have a naughty mind my friend. When we all start SL no one ever tells you that organizing your inventory would be a good idea. I honestly think that Linden Labs should tell you that. It took me 6 months before I realized that the inventory needed some help. Finding things was impossible and for a girl who liked clothes what was happening in my inventory was not going to cut it. It took me a solid week to figure out what I was going to do and to make it happen. Another thing I might add is to make sure you do a clean out every once in a while. Just like your real closet or garage for that matter. When you find things that are 'old' 'outdated' or just plain dumb, delete it, you don't need it. This especially goes for your LMs and NCs, check those bitches regularly! LMs die all the time check them out from time to time and put them in folders. This is what mine looks like...

  Keeping your inventory organized and cleaning it out on the regular is what keeps my inventory numbers down. For as much as I shop I am still under 20k items which is a shocker. Everyone organizes things differently! There is no right way to do it and there is no wrong way. I guess there could be if you tossed all your items in folders all called 'new folder'. That could be problematic. Just play with it and find a system that works well for you. To give you an idea let me tell you a bit about mine. I am a neat freak so I like to be able to find things pretty easy. (Though no one ever said I could spell so ignore my spelling errors.) I am also a folder whore, I make them all the time to shove things in, you just have to remember where the folder inside of a folder is located. Below is a photo of how I have my clothes.

 I have base folders for the general idea like Jewelry and Tops. Then there are subfolders in those, for example, I have my Tops folder open. You can see that I have 4 subfolders Long Sleeve, Tank Tops, Tee Shirt and Tube. Then in each of those subfolders, I have it color coded. The same type of system works for other things, not just clothes. I do it with my buildings and even furniture, separating my living room from bedroom items and even having a folder for wall décor like paintings. The idea is to make it easy for you. Don't make it look like mine if it is to confusing for you, do it for yourself you have to live with it. Just do something!! Please save yourself. ϻʌяɀ

{Dress} Sarah dress in tan by Apple May Designs I get a lot of compliments on this dress each time I wear it. It fits my shape well and the applier actually comes with all the dress colors but you have to buy each dress separately. I may go and do that as it is a very pretty dress.

{Heels} Seattle in brown by Essenz I mainly bought these because of the name, I bought them in every color. For slink Med feet. 

{Bracelet} Braid Bracelet by Izzie's I picked this up at The Dressing Room and I wear it all the time! Comes in R & L versions and with a set of resize able ones. 

{Ring} The wings ring by L'Atelier of Jewels Gorgeous ring that my photos do not do justice to, it is much nicer in world. Has a bling on off option and has R & L hand versions. 

{Necklace} Chum by Miel This necklace comes with a hud where you can change what is says on the top line and the bottom line. You get 8 places on each row but you are limited to what it offers with special characters. Mine says "Marz Barz" with a few little symbols.

Dark Storm

Looking for places to take photos has been a sort of a challenge for me. Honestly I never leave the sim at PoD so I am not versed as to where to look or even how to look for photo spots. After tping to about 15 different locations I found H22O and fell in love with it. The lighting and the rain added so much more to the photo that I had to make a gif for you. Now sadly because of the said gif I wasn't able to edit the photo like I could have like adding proper shadows. Though I like the gif it gives you a better feel for the sim. They had a lot of photo opt areas for darker type styles.

Baby Girl Pink

I was digging through my inventory yesterday and stumbled on a box that Daddy had bought me that I hadn't unpacked. Putting it on I was pleased with half of it, the other not so much. Speaking mainly of the ridged skirt that came with it, I didn't like it but loved the top and shoes and decided to see what else I could find to match it. LG and I went over to .::Breezies Babygirl Sanctuary::. to hang out and take some photos. I loved it, there are so few baby girl - Daddy Dom places to go to and to make it better it's on the beach.

Not pictured is the Cute Bunny by [Muschi] which I carried around with me.

Army Red

Been working on these two photos for a day or so now. I can't afford Photoshop yet so been struggling with Gimp. It is doing ok cept for that I know how to use photoshop and some of the tools on Gimp make me want to pull out my hair. On top of that I haven't edited anything for 4 years so I'm blowing the dust off. After doing a handful of photos I suddenly remember why I own a tablet, I need to get it from my storage unit asap. I will be trying to put in LMs to the places in which photos are taken but as of right now I can not remember what sim I was on for this outfit.

{Top} At Your Service ...:::Beautiful Dirty Rich:::... This mesh corset has a color change hud for nine different colors. It came in a complete outfit with boots skirt and 'pulled down' panties that are mesh color change to match the corset. It also included a hat and pasties as the corset can be worn without the applier. I am only wearing the corset and the applier. 

{Bottom} Leather Zipped Skirt in Red by Blueberry I got this skirt in a fat pack of all the colors with a matching corset it was called, "Blueberry YQ Corset and Skirt Set With Lola's"

{Heels} Limited Collection, Steampunk Boots in black by Death row Designs I bloody LOVE these boots I wear them every chance I get, be ready to get sick of seeing them. They have two different size options. 

{Gun} Eightball by *BREACH* Another one of those things I wear the crap out of. I love this gun for the detail but it is fully functional and one of the smoothest firing guns in SL that I have found I also have a Scar by them and love it. Has an option for R & L leg as well as R & L shoulder harnesses.

First Outfit

The main reason I started this blog was to talk about my clothes and outfits I set up. It seems like a good time to actually do that. I will do another post that has more info about my body, including my skin, tats, and shape because those things never change. I do not change those so if you are waiting for me to change my skin or try a different tat. It will not be happening unless I am asked to by a designer. I will get into far more detail later. As for now....
